Amy started her accounting career journey in 2004 as an Accounts Junior at RfM Accountants, having decided to gain hands-on work experience rather than go to university. After two years of hard work and study, she achieved AAT Level 4 qualification.
She was initially trained to prepare bookkeeping and accounts for farming clients but, over the years, gained the knowledge and skills to be able to support a wider variety of clients, from sole traders and partnerships to Limited companies.
Amy left RfM in 2018 to pursue other avenues in finance before returning in 2021 as a Client Manager, looking after clients across our Barrow and Ulverston offices. Her early training has served Amy well as she now oversees all the practice’s VAT and bookkeeping services and has again found herself working closely with RfM’s farming clients.
Outside of work, Amy is usually rushing around after her two daughters with their football and gymnastics activities. When ‘mum’s taxi’ gets a rare night off, she is a keen crafter and has recently taken up knitting and crocheting.
